Ably accompanied by Chris Parkinson on accordion, Paul Donnelly on classical guitar and Simon Keegan-Phipps on piano, the French singer from Nemes via Darlington showed a sultry and enticing side not seen in the folk clubs! The charismatic French singer gave a passionate performance, delighting her audience on Sunday with favourites “La Vie en rose”, ”Je ne regrette rien” made famous by Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel’s powerful “Amsterdam” and “Ne me quitte pas”.

From moving love songs to tongue-twisters, Flossie’s pure and beautiful voice had people queuing for CDs after the encore or just for a chance to speak to this stunning vocalist. – Review of the Jacques Brel/Edith Piaf show which took place in Lowdham Nottinghamshire.

The Albion Band Christmas Show is now into its 9th year and has attracted sell-out audiences across the UK.
Featuring the combined talents of Simon Nicol (Fairport Convention), Kellie While (Albion Band) Simon Care (Edward II) and the Guvnor himself, Ashley Hutchings, this show takes you on a guided tour through the Christmas customs of Britain.
Founder of Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span and The Albion Band, Ashley Hutchings is joined on stage by Kellie While, Simon Care and Simon Nicol, for an evening of traditional English Christmas music, dancing and celebration.
Kellie takes time out from her impressive solo career for which she has been praised by both the U.K. press and public alike. Folk enthusiasts will know Kellie from her work with The Albion Band and her mother Chris While. She received personal praise from Ron Sexsmith for her beautiful version of his song ‘Riverbed’ on her album Tenacious, which put her on the map as a soloist.
Simon Care is currently working with Edward II and has always had a passion for Traditional English dance and song. Simon also works with Whapweasel, Tickled Pink and a new band called Cave – Watch this space!
Simon Nicol, founder member of Fairport finishes the line up to make this a truly festive treat. He is regarded as one of the finest acoustic guitarists in the world………His voice is pretty special too!

Blair Dunlop, although approaching 18 years old, has already fitted a lot into his young life.
As the son of folk legend Ashley Hutchings and singer Judy Dunlop he has been encouraged to take to the stage since a young age. He has now blossomed into a greatly admired singer, guitarist and actor. Some of the highlights of his performing career include playing Little Willy Wonka in the blockbuster movie of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” (Johnny Depp starred as the grown-up Willy), appearing in the TV series of “Rocket Man”, wowing Fairport Convention members and audience at the group’s reunion at the Barbican in London in 2009 and perfecting the new and exciting cult guitar style of “double-tapping”
